Features:
Zenonia 2 is the sequel to the hit RPG Zenonia for the Android Platform. Zenonia 2 features four playable classes, a well thought out storyline, humorous Zelda-like gameplay, customizable heroes, and a unique weight system. The game is also incredibly easy to tweak in order to provide optimal performance on your device.
In Zenonia 2 you are able to play the game as one of four classes: the paladin, the shooter, the magician, and the warrior. Each hero has their own weaknesses and special abilities. The paladin is a holy class who engages in melee combat, but has a mix of magic for protection and healing. The shooter is a ranged hunter class and has excellent attack and range, but must reload his ranged weapon frequently. The magician is your typical glass cannon, and the warrior is your typical hard to kill melee hero. After choosing a hero the game will begin with a long series of cut scenes explaining the background story which spins off of the original Zenonia.
The basic jist of the story is that some big bad demon dude is trapped underground and trying to get out. None of the people in the land know that he is trapped there because they all forgot what happened during the original game. Bad stuff is starting to happen on the surface of the world as a result of the demon minions search for a special crystal which will release them from their prison. Your goal is to find the crystal before they do and to bring order to the world.
The gameplay of Zenonia 2 is extremely solid. It features a single virtual joystick for movement and then individual keys for attacking. The position of the keys and the joystick can both be changed through the options menu which can be accessed when the game is paused. As you play through the game your character will gain levels which will allow you to invest skill points and attribute points to purchase new abilities for your character as well as to buff their existing strength, dexterity, and intelligence.
Zenonia 2 feels a lot like playing the original Zelda, so those that enjoy the Zelda game series will most likely love it. Zenonia builds upon the things that made Zelda great like immense worlds, unique item systems, varying enemies and dungeons, and an intriguing story line. Zenonia 2 takes those principals and adds in its own unique twist like consistently humorous content woven in with the storyline, side quests, a hero crafting system, unique hero skills, and PvP to cultivate a much more involved and refined RPG.
Finally, Zenonia 2 also features a unique weight system which adds an interesting twist to the gameplay. As your character picks up certain items in the world of Zenonia he will be weighted down and suffer from a decrease of movement speed. Very early in the game you will be sent to visit a blacksmith with a sack of heavy components to build weaponry. As a result your character will move very slowly. This weight system makes for some unique situations in the game especially when in areas with numerous enemies and adds more personal involvement with the game environment.

Fun Factor:
Zenonia 2 is extremely fun to play. The game has a humorous and involving story line which helps to immerse the player in to the game environment. Zenonia 2 also features an excellent combat system in a style similar to Zelda while adding its own unique twists with the class system. This allows you to play through the game with a character that most fits your personality and customize them to engage in battles in a way that is representative of your own personality.
The sound, cut scenes, and animations are all geared to promote a light hearted and adventurous atmosphere which promotes a more enjoyable game environment. Whether you like the RPG genre of video games or not you will still be able to pick up this game and enjoy playing through it’s unique content.
Addictive:
Zenonia 2 is extremely immersive and addictive. The story line is humorous and intricate drawing you deeper into the gaming environment. The various character customization options also allow you to personalize the experience and feel an attachment to your character due to the time and effort put in to leveling him and creating his skill tree. This combined with the expansive worlds and massive levels ensure an extremely addictive gaming experience.
Graphics:
The graphics are very good and comparable with games on the SNES. The environments are similar to those of Zelda and Final Fantasy, but with much more attention to detail and with greater optimization for the higher end devices that we game on today. The graphics are able to be changed from low, medium, and high quality in order to ensure a smooth gaming experience on all devices.
Could the graphics be a little more refined due to the incredible hardware that smartphones run today? Yes, but if the environment of the game was changed the game would lose some of it’s nostalgic appeal from the 1990′s. So despite being a little less than we come to expect out of most games graphic engines today, you will definitely have an enjoyable experience and doubtfully think twice about changing the environments.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Zenonia 2 has an excellent soundtrack in the style of many of the games that appeared on the SNES. The tones are fun and adventurous and add to the nostalgic feel of the game. There are varied sounds for each zone and attack which prevents the gamer from feeling that the soundtrack is repetitive or boring. Instead the music in this game will only add to your gaming experience.
It also makes use of your device’s vibration when fighting enemies. When engaging in combat and striking enemies your phone will vibrate to let you know if you have scored a hit, or to tell you when the enemy delivers a blow to you. There is no incorporation of accelerometer controls in this game nor was any needed.
