Make new posts including text with formatting, images, tags and categories to multiple wordpress accounts while mobile. To use wpToGo you will need a wordpress blog with xmlrpc access enabled.

Features:

wpToGo Android App allows you to write and modify posts on WordPress blogging platforms. The app uses the XML RPC protocol along with administrative privileges in updating WordPress blogs on Android phones. You have access to limited admin features yet it’s fast, light-weight, and simple to use. The coolest feature is the ability to manage more than one WordPress blog.

With wpToGo Android App, you can upload photos stored on your phone (great for when you already have the pic on your phone or snagged it from the Web). Perform simple formatting such as Bold, Italic, Blockquote and insert Links. You can add Tags and select Categories for posts, however I’ve noticed editing pre-populated posts tend to lose the selected Categories so you have to reselect them. You can select multiple Categories by re-selecting from the drop down menu. Additional features allow you to Preview posts and view comments on published posts.

wpToGo Android App is useful to WordPress bloggers who have Android phones.

How to setup and use wpToGo:

Enable the XML RPC protocol in your WordPress admin section under “Settings”.
Add a new account in wpToGo using your blog URL plus “/xmlrpc.php”
Enter your admin credentials and go!

I’d recommend wpToGo for blog owners with Android phones and need to either start or edit a post (this review was written with wpToGo). Not recommended as a sole use of blog writing as you’re missing vital attributes like Spell Check or an WYSIWYG editor. Some blogs, like this one, uses advanced WordPress features in creating posts, therefore can’t be used from start to finish. However, some blogs use a simpler writing format and can get away with it.

i would like to use your great apps in my htc dream android powerred but it gives an error wp.getusersblogs error
i use wo mu and wp 2.5 is that the problem?

    I just got this app and when I try to upload an image, my htc eris says “the program has stopped unexpectedly and to please try again”. Is there a fix for this? I can’t seem to upload any of my images this way.

Just wanted to say thanks for including the instructions on how to add the xmlrpc. I’m new at this and couldn’t find instructions anywhere. It’s seems so simple now!!

Hey…I’ve got wptogo on my Motorola Droid. When I set up my account to update my wordpress blog, I get a real quick box that says “Something bad happened” and I can’t read the rest. I’ve re-established my account on wptogo 4 times and I can’t get my blog site to update! Help, pleeeeeease!!
