Wordsplosion is a new and engaging word game for Android. Each round gives you a word to solve and you only have the first letter to work with. You have to make guesses and the game will tell you which letters are correct and which are incorrect. You have five guesses to get it right! The game is beautifully designed and comes with great visuals and sound. If you’re a wordie, this is most definitely for you.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Sumptuous graphics!
- Great sound!
- Addictive!
- Very challenging!
Cons
- Might benefit from alternative modes of play.
Features:
Wordsplosion is a challenging word game that presents Hangman-style gameplay with impressive graphics and rich sound. You have to work out a five letter word with only the first letter to start with. When you guess words and submit them, the game will tell you if you have placed letters correctly or if letters are correct for the word but in the wrong places. Wrong letters are subsequently shown in red. Gameplay is therefore straightforward and certainly familiar if you’ve ever played Hangman!
The game is quite tough at times, but also very forgiving. You get several lives (if you can’t guess the word in the five guesses) and there are even hints which produce a new letter for the word. This means you can play through quite a large number of rounds even if you fail to get a few words. It’s tough, but not enough to put you off.

The game is beautifully designed and a lot of thought has gone into the visual experience- something often overlooked in favour of gameplay with regards to word games. Wordsplosion has both; fun and familiar gameplay yet impressively animated graphics. This is complimented by great music and sound effects. In many ways it feels like a gameshow on your Android, with audience support, tense countdown music and plenty of pops, whizzes and tings when letters are added and words are found. This all adds to the game environment and it’s certainly enhances the experience.

Fun Factor:
If you like word games, this is great- lots of fun, well developed and engaging. I think it could use some additional modes of play, just to mix things up a bit, but it is otherwise very enjoyable.
Addictive:
I wasn’t sure at first, but after a few rounds I found it tricky to put down. Obviously you need to have a love for word games but once you start it’s difficult to resist.
Graphics:
The graphics are possibly the best I have seen for a word game. The game uses plenty of animation and visual effects but this doesn’t slow the experience down.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The sound is excellent and very detailed. While you can turn the sound off altogether I found it enhanced the game and made it a little more engaging.
