Features:

Wordfeud is an awesome and highly addictive online multi-player game of Scrabble. If you’re not that into Scrabble, I guarantee you will after playing this Android game! Play against random online players or invite your friends from your contacts to a challenge. You play at your own pace, even launch multiple games at once, plus you can set notifications when it’s your turn. Plus there is a Chat feature for some good trash talking when you lay the letter-Smackdown on someone.

How to Play Wordfeud:

Just like Scrabble you’re presented with letters to make words on the game board. The best strategy is to spell words that result in high scores taking advantage of Double Letter (DL), Double Word (DW), Triple Letter (TL), and Triple Word (TW) squares. The blank space is a bonus piece, when you lay it down you have the option to choose any letter. Tip: Double-tap the game board to zoom in and out.

Wordfeud is extremely fun and addictive. Great whether you like Scrabble or not as the online multi-player element makes it more interesting. Plus you can play at your own pace.

The first time I heard about Wordfeud was from Scott Webster of AndroidGuys.com. We attended a summit with a score of industry leading mobile tech bloggers and playing the game amongst each other caught on like wildfire. The sweetest part was the iPhone folks weren’t able to participate and felt like they weren’t in the “cool club”. Remember when that used to be the opposite way around with Android

Nice review, but why are used surprised about “Gwen” not being allowed? Proper names have never been allowed in Scrabble. Not sure what source they assembled their dictionaries from, but “Gwen” is not in the oficial Scrabble dictionary.

    Wordfeud is awesome. Everything works great and if you are making more then one word, you have to make sure all variations are legit. Once you are good like me, you start to make 2, 3, or 4 word plays.
    
    I’ve gotten several of my friends addicted to this game. I figured we would just play together but now they run like 10 games at a time. I’ve never played a Random map though, as it always starts on classic when we rematch. It would be nice to include a random, random board occasionally.

  I love the game but my mom is having problems that I have yet to encounter where simple words such as “skin” “sink” “shark” ” or “ajar” are not being accepted, is anyone else having these problems too?

Everyone will forget this game when ‘Words With Friends’ is released later this month. It will allow Android and iOS devices to play against one another. =)

  Except Words with Friends on Android is buggy as hell. I actually uninstalled it in favor of WF because it actually works. I don’t like the cheesy font/graphics either. I know more Android users anyway, guess iOS users will have to wait till WF comes out for them!

    where did you find Words with Friend for Android? i can’t find it anywhere. and for that matter i can’t find Wordfeud either, and the links to online site downloads i’ve found won’t work.

I am not understanding how games like this are allowed to exist. Scrabbulous on Facebook got into big time legal issues with the Scrabble people, how come WordFeud and Words with Friends aren’t getting the pants sued off them????

Does anyone know how to end a stalemate without resigning? I have 1 “Q” which I cannot play. I am 80 points ahead of my opponent. The opponent also has 1 tile she cannot play. I don’t want to resign the game and lose. Help!!!!

You probably already found out, but if ur in a stalemate, just keep passing. I passed once with a 14-pt lead and 9 pts worth of tiles. When they passed too, I knew we were in a stalemate. I passed again and won the match. Not sure if it auto calculates everyone’s scores based on tiles held, but at least you’d end the match and get ur answer!
