WeFi – Automatic WiFi Android App is a nifty tool for finding and connecting to Wifi wireless networks automatically. The cool thing about it, by default it saves on known-to-be-weak battery life by turning on when the phone is active then deactivates when the phone is sleep. Receive Android notifications when connected in the Window Shadow, there are many settings to tweak in the preferences menu.
A good hot-spot finding app is always useful.
The app will do most of the work, if it finds a suitable open connection, it’ll go. Else you can specify it to connect to a secured network granted you know the password to authenticate.
User dependent, however if used in the home or office, could be used multiple times daily.
I must admit, the lil Droid animation is a bit cheesy but the app gets the job done.

Should you Download WeFi – Automatic WiFi? Yes! Especially if you Enable Wifi Often on your Android Phone, Works Better than Default Wifi Settings!

How do I get it to get MY password protected wifi?
Does it prompt you to enter your password?
Does this app have the feature to connect to Wifi Ad-hoc feature?? Because Android rocks but misses some features like connection to Ad-hoc network. Although it does support it but is disabled by default and you have to do some &^*& things to get it to work. And im not talking about rooting ive already done that.
excellent app! always on with my G1, do not drain my battery more than before installation. Now switch connection (automatically)@ home/office/pub with no hassle!
Great
On my Samsung Galaxy S Captivate WeFi caused huge problems. Wrecked wifi functionality: lost remembered connections, could not re establish connection to home wifi, device forgot its MAC address (checking device android wifi settings pages there was no MAC address shown). Uninstalled WeFi. Finally I had to factory reset my phone to get wifi functionality working. Sent multiple emails to dev and have gotten no response in over a week so I’m posting comment pages now. May be device specific as other users report ok usage. Was looking forward to using in conjunction with Lookator AR app in an upcoming trip to Europe. But even there I had problems with both Lookator and WeFi installed, launching Lookator caused a crash of WeFi api…
Same problem here with Samsung Galaxy S. Wifi doesent work at the moment and i have spent a lot of time to find the way to fix it. Seems that factory reset cant be avoided.
Hey, if you guys find out whats up with these Galaxy S wifi issues, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!
