Pros
WeatherBug Android App is one of the best mobile weather apps around (even voted best weather app by You the Android Community in our first Android Network Awards). The app offers a wealth of weather information from today’s forecast to 7 day forecast, temperature, wind, humidity, dew point, etc. Get the days forecast or swipe for forecast by the hour. View weather on Google Maps, get severe weather alerts and a cool feature to view snapshots from local weather stations. WeatherBug boasts their forecasts can be more specific to your location offering more accurate information and the ability to update more frequently.
Weather apps and mobile phones go together like babies and pacifiers… extremely useful for most people!
The app is pretty easy to use. By default, opening the app will generate the current forecast for your location with more information in the tabs along the bottom.
Used at least once daily; potentially multiple uses daily.
The user interface is slick and organized, offering animated transitions when swiping between menus. Optimized for mobile use.

MUCH MUCH better than the retarded weather channel app. i don’t why people like that app. It’s ugly, buggy, can’t get rid of it, and just plain dumb. Weather bug show current temp in top left if you want. Simple but effective! The widget like above isn’t pretty but functions the exact same. It’s nice to have a small program that can show the current temp small in the top left. Want more hit the widget for weather channel type info. If people give the weather 5 stars than this one is 7 stars!!!
I love weatherbug on my desktop, and now on my Droid! It is great to have the current temp at the top of the screen, and super easy to get the forcast and severe weather alerts.
It’s a great ap, but you have to be careful with the Droid… If you set it to “Follow Me” and drive around alot, like I do, every time you change area’s it updates. When I first loaded the ap, my battery usage went down to one shift. Thats about 50 phone calls and 100 driving miles a day. Turned off the follow me and just have the ap update once an hour, and my phone battery life doubled. But it is a must have if your highly mobile.
how do you close down weatherbug app?
I had the same problem, and was told my support to shut off phone, take out the battery and sim card and then reinsert sim card and then battery
and it worked for me….
hope this helps
I hate to think this is the best weather app for Droid out there. For the last three days, weatherbug has said “partly cloudy,” when it’s been completely cloudy and overcast all three days. I won’t even get into seeing 20% chance of rain while rain is falling on me…which would really make it 100%…
I loved Weatherbug when it used to work. My weatherbug always stops unexpectedly and goes into a foreclose mode. It used to work just fine until an automatic phone update. I have removed and re-installed on numerous occasions but still not having luck with it. Any suggestions?
Isnt there suppose to be a live weather wallpaper installed with this app. I.E. when its raining outside, it actullay rains on your droid screen. ??
