Wacky Hedgehog Jump is a vertical jumping game where you need to guide Wacky to the finish line of each level. You accumulate points, collect mushrooms to boost your score and avoid other items which can make you fall. Levels get progressively harder and your jumps- from apple to apple- require more precision and accuracy.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Quite addictive once you get into it!
- Easy to play, hard to master!
- 23 levels to complete!
Cons
- Very basic graphics.
- In the Free version the banner ads cover your score.
- Can feel very repetitive after a while.
Features:
Wacky Hedgehog wants to jump about in the clouds and it’s up to you to help him. He has to leap from apple to apple (which rotate at different speeds so you have to time your jumps really well) to reach the finish line. Along the way you can collect mushrooms which increase your score. There are things to avoid too- works will make Wacky fall and if he hits the floor it’s game over.
The game is easy to play- just tap the screen to jump. Timing is crucial as the apples rotate and you have to jump at just the right moment. There are hedges at the side which can break your fall slightly but you do slide down these so you’ll have to jump to an apple soon. You have set times in which to climb and you are awarded gold silver and bronze medals for doing so in those times.

I found the game quite addictive although I had to quickly switch the music off as it’s pretty squeaky and annoying if you play the game for very long. The graphics are sharp but very simplistic when compared to other games. Take for example, other vertical jumpers such as Hyper Jump where the graphics are far richer. Such games also include a store in which you can buy upgrades and other items to freshen up gameplay. Wacky Hedgehog Jump is a nicely little game, but it’s not in that league.

Fun Factor:
For short bursts, it’s a fun game that can be absorbing if you want something mindless to occupy your commute with. Kids will probably love it too and I’m sure it’ll help hand to eye coordination.
Addictive:
If you switch the music off it has far more potential to be addictive. It’s incredibly simple to play and you feel prompted to try again if you fall. There is a score board so you can see your previous best scores, plus you can identify whether you received gold silver or bronze on the level select screen.
Graphics:
The visual element of the game is remarkably sparse, with still images of apples and only a few frames to animate Wacky. It’s all quite neat- and there are far worse graphics out there, but compared with similar titles, this is very basic.
One small niggle regarding the free version of the game which features an ad banner is that the ad nearly completely covers your score. I tried out both apps and the paid-for version thankfully removes this.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The sound is pretty bad to be honest. The music is penetratingly annoying and I’m not sure you’ll put up with it for very long. There are options for you to remove the sound though- thankfully!
