Use Google Maps on your phone to know when your bus or train is late

Google recently updated Google Maps for mobile and desktop to include live transit update times so you can see if/when your bus or train will arrive. Supported cities that have this capability are in four U.S. cities and two European cities: Boston, Portland, Ore., San Diego, San Francisco, Madrid and Turin. To use it, zoom into your stop and the transit icon will appear, tap it to unveil more “live departure times” information. Now you can be one of the savvy ones that knows when the bus is coming or where it’s snagged in traffic versus hopelessly looking down the street and wondering. Google plans to roll this feature out to more cities soon.
