Twitter Android App Gets Official

All of you Twitter, tweeting enthusiast will be happy to hear that Android will get an official twitter app very soon. At Twitter’s Chirp Conference, Evan Williams announced the company will be launching the app shortly. Lately the company has been acquiring the unofficial apps for other platforms and adapting them as polished official company apps, not to mention making them FREE. No word if the company will follow the same suit with Android or just make the application themselves.

I’m surprised it’s taking them this long. Were they just waiting to see if the Android will get more market share before committing their resources?
