If you’re a developer or firm looking to gain more exposure for your apps not only for Android but all other platforms you should be entering Mobile Apps Showdown! This prestigious mobile app award show will take place Jan. 8 2011 with submission deadline Nov. 25 2010. Find out all about the competition here. There is a $1,000 fee for the first app submitted and $850 for each additional app, but we’re sparing 3 developers $1K fee simply by tweeting. Some of the world’s most influential tech bloggers will be judging including yours truly! 8)
How to Win Free Submission to Mobile Apps Showdown
Three app developers will get their Mobile App Showdown entry fee waived through the Twittersphere. To view the complete rules of the competition here but for the Twitter contest the basics include being available to present the app onstage at CES, already having the app in the appstore by Q2 2011, and completing the following:
- Create a blog post with an app description, download link and why they deserve to be in Mobile App Showdown
- Tweet the following: “Pls RT: @netshelter pick [your app] for #mobileshowdown [then add your blog post link]”
- Get friends to retweet the above
The 3 developers or developer teams with the most retweets from unique accounts (meaning we’re only counting 1 tweet per account) by Nov 14, 2010 will automatically be given a free application to the event. From there apps will be judged alongside other worthy competitors by NetShelter’s panel of publishers including Antonio Wells of AndroidTapp, Dieter Bohn of Smartphone Experts, Jason Dunn of Windows Phone Thoughts, Jeff Estep of SprintUsers, Pressian Krakostov of PhoneArena, Rob Jackson of Phandroid, Brandon Miniman of PocketNow, Will Park of IntoMobile, Evan Selleck of Android Community, Simon Walker of AndroidSPIN and Taylor Wimberly of Android and Me.
