TubeMP3 Machine – convert YouTube videos into MP3′s

TubeMP3 Machine is a cool app that lets you turn YouTube videos into MP3 files. Simply search, select and download. Downloads are relatively fast (although dependent on your network/broadband speed) and the whole thing is delivered in a neat user interface that makes the whole process incredibly easy.

Features:
TubeMP3 Machine is a great looking and blissfully easy to use tool that lets you download YouTube videos and convert them to MP3. Whether that be songs, live tracks, lectures, documentaries or any content you discover on YouTube, you can now download it straight to your Android device.
You initially get a screen of four options: Downloaded (songs which you have already downloaded through the app), Search (integrated YouTube search feature), In Progress (videos which are currently being downloaded and converted into MP3) and Top Rank (basically the Top Ranking YouTube videos, which you can filter by country). These simple tabs make the app extremely easy to navigate. Additional menu options let you link to the TubeMP3 Machine website. Rate and share the app.
The app features an in-built MP3 player, although the MP3′s are also available through your normal music application. One feature I thought was especially useful was the ability to convert to MP3 direct from the YouTube app itself. So, when you’re watching a YouTube video you like, simply select to share and the TubeMP3 Machine icon will be available to quickly download the sound file.
The only thing that should put users off is the inclusion of the AirPush advertising. These notoriously spammy ads are the ones that pop up uninvited into your status bar, usually with links to dating services and the like. Thankfully the app does place the rating of the app at ‘Low Maturity‘, which is correct for this kind of advertising, but I know the advertising model is pretty much universally hated by Android users. You can, however, get around this with apps like Airpush Permanent Opt out, so don’t let this completely put you off. Maybe if there was a paid-for version, this might negate the problem altogether.

Usefulness:
For downloading YouTube files easily, there’s few apps that are as slick and user-friendly as TubeMP3 Machine. The inclusion of a MP3 player makes it extra useful too, as you can play tracks while you’re searching or using other aspects of the app.
Ease of Use:
TubeMP3 is incredibly easy to use and very intuitive. Simply search, select and download. Downloading is relatively fast and problem-free, as is accessing your downloaded MP3′s afterwards.
Frequently Used:
I think this might depend on the user, some people might just want to download particular MP3s they stumble upon, while other users might want to download lots.
Interface:
The interface is a quite slick and well presented. There are hints of the Ice cream Sandwich ‘Holo’ theme so it looks good on your device. There is no paid-for version for the app sadly, so even if you were willing to pay, the only option you have is to have the Admob ad banner on-screen at some point, in addition to the AirPush ads you get unless you block them altogether.
