AndroidTapp.com Android Game Review:

Pros & Cons:

Pros

  • Cool graphics and animations!
  • Awesome sound!
  • Challenging gameplay!
  • Highly addictive!
  • 9 locations to complete!

Cons

  • Repetitive after a while.

Features:

Train Conductor 2 is a game that relies on you having good timing and mental agility. You must guide the trains to their desired track without a collision. You can pause most trains by tapping on them but you’ll need to drag them to the correct track as quickly as possible. As levels progress gameplay becomes trickier and you have to control the destiny of various different locomotives- even ghost trains! Before you start there is typically a short tutorial if gameplay is somehow different. For example, ghost trains in Nashville can’t crash and you’ll need to get used to that.

There are two different types of games. First you have to complete all the levels in Classic mode, then Challenge mode is unlocked. There are 9 American locations to journey through including: Miami, Roswell, Nashville, New York, Chicago, Seattle, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon! There are a variety of leaderboards: global, weekly, and friends. You can even connect and post your achievements to Facebook.

I was quite enthralled by this game and I found it very addictive. It feels like such a big environment with so many leaderboards and modes to tackle. Throughout the game it is always lots of fun and, although it does feel a little repetitive after a while, it is so frenetic it quickly absorbs you and keeps you hooked. I thought at first it might be one of those laborious simulation games but this is no sim. It’s an action packed train ride across the USA that is both captivating and challenging in equal measure.

Fun Factor:

Train Conductor 2 is loads of fun and very engrossing. It’s not always easy, its often very challenging and takes practice to get right. But given time and commitment it’s hugely rewarding and very entertaining. It’s quite a casual game in that, if you get them right, then levels take only a few minutes to complete. Therefore it would be perfect for a commute or train journey!

Addictive:

From the first level Train Conductor 2 is very captivating and hard to put down. With both classic and challenge modes plus online scoring, it’s easily something you’ll return to over and over again.

Graphics:

The graphics are great, rich bright colors, crisp lines and environments. Each environment presents a different challenge and the graphics distinguish the differences well, providing a distinct atmosphere for each one.

Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:

The soundtrack is diverse and changes as you travel around the country. It compliments the game really well and adds to the atmosphere described above.
