Whether you’re planning your week, your day, or the next hour, The Weather Channel delivers the tools you need to be prepared.  From customizable weather maps to video forecasts and severe weather alerts, The Weather Channel has you covered.

AndroidTapp.com Review:

Usefulness:

The Weather Channel app is one that can be used at least once a day. It’s a very useful tool to have whether you’re a traveler or not. Easily get the weather for your location or any location for the matter.

Ease of Use:

Simple to setup, you enter the Zip Code for U.S. or International City and GO!

Features:

The Weather Channel Android App features 4 tabs: Now, Hourly, 36 Hour and 10 Day weather forecasts. Tapp on any one of them and it streams up-to-date weather readings. There is a little unknown feature with the app that at first seems like a bug. If you have more than one places added and swipe left/right, it will change to that location (it would be cool if that feature would animate the swipe to visually see the transition).

One of the best features in the Video forecast… see streaming video of the weather just like on TV for your selected places (if available).

Frequently Used:

One of those everyday apps.

Interface:

Simple and organized with The Weather Channel distinct branding.

ive been wondering do u have to pay for apps or are they free or are some of them free

  2. Android Tapp says:

All the Apps in the market currently are free. I’ve heard on January 15, 2009… the pay model will be available for the market… so I would expect to see a lot of paid apps.

However, currently there are some apps you can get outside of the app market at a fee. Like http://www.handango.com/catalog/SoftwareCatalog.jsp?categoryId=0 I would encourage to use with caution. Plus some app they have there are also free in the app store

  3. Stephan ramos says:

wait so the apps that are free now MIGHT cost after jan 15?

  4. Android Tapp says:

No… let me clarify that. Developers are then able to place their fee-based apps on the market. Most that are free should stay free, I only expect a few slick characters to try to turn their “once free app” into a paid app for the same thing.

Or most might offer a free version with limited features while the paid has more.

Excellent app! Use it almost daily! Highly Recommend!

I had this app but when I saw the widget for it, I removed it. If I find the widget that came with Open Home, this is gone too. I like the clear background.
