The Secret of Grisly Manor. In this family-friendly adventure game, players explore a mysterious old mansion in search of their missing grandfather. Grandpa might be missing, but his presence is everywhere. Familiar objects have been re-engineered to create puzzles for the player. Clues abound, and as each puzzle is solved, others present themselves.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- In the spirit of the old-school puzzle games, there are no hints, you just have to look around and figure it out, which makes for a nice challenge!
- There are enough puzzles to keep the game interesting for a while.
- Great visuals and graphics.
Cons
- While the older version of the game worked on the MyTouch 3G Slide, the recent updates have it force-closing at boot
- The end of the game feels very sudden, with the resolution you expect not really coming.
Features:
I have to admit up front that I am a puzzle game addict. One of these days, someone is going to force me into a 12-step program of some sort, so when I saw this pop up for Android, I was, needless to say, pretty excited.
The game really tosses you right in, trying to figure out how to get into the house. There are no hints, no sparkling areas, nothing to give you any clues. You just have to click around and be observant. Try to open everything, and look inside everything that presents itself. This is a nice touch, since a lot of the more modern puzzle games like the Mystique series give you an abundance of hints. I’ll admit I do use them (it’s there, why not?) but being forced to really think my way through everything and go back to see if there was something I missed is an element I really enjoyed in Grisly Manor.
My one and only complaint about the game has to do with the end. Trying not to spoil anything here, all I’ll say is that it ended rather abruptly. I expected a lot more. But perhaps this means the developers are already working on the sequel, which would be fantastic if that’s the reason for the sudden stop.

Fun Factor:
If you like solving puzzles, then you will find this game to be exactly what you were looking for. It’s not hidden objects, but instead is in the vein of “Myst” where you have a world you have to explore and figure out what to do next.
Addictive:
I found myself finding excuses to play this game to go in and try to figure out that last puzzle I was stuck on right up until the end. And then, when I got the tablet, I started all over again, so I’d say it’s pretty addictive.
Graphics:
This is a beautiful game, with great graphics. If you don’t have a higher-end phone, this very well might not work for you. The developers went for quality here, and didn’t compromise, which is both good and bad, since it means you have to have a pretty decent phone to play. On the tablet, however, because of the high quality, it really looks beautiful.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The soundtrack is pretty unobtrusive, which is what you want in a game like this. The occasional sound effects add to the overall experience, rather than being something that pulls you out of the story.
