The Samsung Transform, The Second Of The Sprint ID Series

Sprint debuted another new device at CTIA in a series to feature Sprint ID yesterday: The Samsung Transform. The Transform will go on sale October 10th for $149.99 with a new two-year agreement after a $100 mail-in rebate. This new device seems to have a lot of similarities to the Epic with slightly lower specs and no 4G:
- 3.5 inch HVGA touch screen
- Full slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- 3.2MP camera with VGA front-facing camera
- Stereo bluetooth
- Built in Wifi (b/g)
- 800MHZ Processor
- 256MB RAM / 512MB ROM
- MicroSD support up to 32GB
- Pre-loaded with Android 2.1 (Upgradeable to 2.2 later this year, no specific date given)

Sprint also annouced today their new feature that the Transform will be amongst the first of three devices to use: Sprint ID. Sprint ID takes customization to a different level, allowing users to download packs of apps, wallpapers, ringtones, and widgets all at one time. Packs will be tailored to customer’s interest and allow them to change them as they see fit including EA, Health & Fitness, Golf Enthusiasts, WHERE, The Big Apple, and more!
