That Manual Install of Android 2.2 for Nexus One was Premature

A few weeks back we posted a guide and even download file on how to manually update your Nexus One to Android 2.2. Unfortunately that update was a bit premature and some Nexus One owners are experiencing issues, including this owner who’s having trouble accessing some apps in the Market (protected apps are not accessible).
This is why Google pulled the update from their servers. Hopefully all the kinks will be worked out soon and the official update will start rolling out.
There seems to be a work-around for this but I have not managed to get it to work due to permissions issues, which leads me to believe that hack works for rooted phones.
I think I will tough it out as I don’t want to go back to that ancient Android 2.1
and loose speed, Wi-Fi tethering, portable hotspot, full Flash in the browser, Bluetooth voice dialing, and many other new features outlined here.
