Tegra 4i – NVIDIA announces first integrated Tegra LTE mobile processor

Today, NVIDIA, announced the first fully integrated Tegra LTE mobile processor called Tegra 4i; featuring quad-core 2.3 GHz processor, 60 GPUs, a version of the NVIDIA i500 LTE modem, plus a fifth battery saver core at half the size of nearest competitor says the company. This results in a more powerful, compact, faster mobile processor, and with one chip that can power all the major functions of a smartphone with exceptional battery life. NVIDIA also debuted the “Phoenix” phone, a reference phone for manufacturers to use as a blueprint in designing and building future Tegra 4i smartphones to help get them to market quicker.
