Pros & Cons:
Pros
Cons
- Cumbersome on-screen controls
- Not enough ammo for mission, in which randomly fires without you shooting it, waisting limited ammo
- Poor page turn effect when you drive your tank out of view
Features:
Tank Ace 1944 Android Game is a 3D war game, your objective is to eliminate all your enemy tankers to advance to the next mission. Use the on-screen controls to maneuver, change view points and fire at enemy combatants.
Gripe Alert: the on-screen controls are quite cumbersome and take some adjusting to. Also, I find the missions almost impossible when you have to eliminate 7 enemies with only 4 rounds (my assumption then is that you have to ram them to death???). It also doesn’t help that your rounds fire off at random on their own waisting the limited ammo you do have. Worse, it seems your enemies’ tanks can climb 20 foot 80 degree walls with a breeze, while your tank barely climbs small hills. Even worse is the “page turn” effect when driving through terrain which obstructs view… a #d game should be more seamless.

Fun Factor & Addictive:
The concept is awesome, however actually playing the game becomes a deterrent unless you’re determined to overcome some of the issues outlined above.
Graphics:
Tank Ace 1944 is a 3D game however the “page turn” when maneuvering doesn’t do Open GL 3D rendering any justice.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
There’s sound effects which can be toggled. This game would benefit from multi-touch.
