LookOut helps protect Mobile App Stores like Verizon’s V Cast with launch of Mobile Threat Network

Lookout, mobile security software firm, today launched Mobile Threat Network, a platform that automatically detect threats and offers protection for mobile app stores to avert users unknowingly downloading malicious apps. Verizon V Cast customers will be the first to receive the protection, other app stores can tap into this feature as well with their API. I'm impressed to see them implementing a solution that is more proactive about 'piece of mind' app shopping. I equate it to Google's superior spam and malware filtering in Gmail, whereas, it just should be an advocate in the background protecting your personal information.Read Full Article
