The Defy is an Android smartphone with 3.7 inch rugged and scratch resistant touch screen, we assume will be running Android 2.1 (Eclair) with custom MOTOBLUR user interface, although not full Adobe Flash like that of Android 2.2 (Froyo) it has Adobe Flash Lite in the web browser, 5 megapixel camera with flash, digital zoom and auto-focus. Verizon Wireless sent invitations to a few in the media yesterday about their press event to be held on June 23rd, 2010 at the eve of the iPhone 4 launch. Seems Motorola has updated their moving target schedule again for Android 2.1 software updates on some Milestone, Backflip, Cliq, Cliq XT, and Dext phones. Hooray! AT&T launched its first Android phone, the Motorola Backflip with MOTOBLUR social sharing software. The Backflip literally does what it says, meaning the keyboard opens from the back lighting up the keyboards orienting the display in horizontal mode. There's an added bonus with a trackpad like laptops on the back of the display half of the phone that you can use to control it from the rear called Backtrack. You'll find AT&T Navigator powered by TeleNav for GPS navigation preoloaded. Bummer that it launches with Android OS version 1.5 (upgradable to 2.1), however does have cool features like HSPA 7.2 capable (able to reach higher 3G speeds if available), 5 megapixel camera with flash, and Motoblur makes updating social network statuses or even finding your phone a breeze!Read Full Article

T-Mobile launched the Motorola Cliq with MOTOBLURas the third Android phone in their arsenal. Motto-ed... Now that Verizon's DROID has launched, I've been getting many reports that some Android Apps don't work; force close errors, portions of the app freezes, or the graphics look crappy due to the higher screen size of Motorola's DROID (all other devices were 320 x 480, whereas DROID's illustrious screen is 480 x 854).
