Verizon will be releasing the much anticipated DROID Bionic on September 8th for $299.99 with a new two year agreement. We first saw the phone at CES 2011 in January and this phone takes on a whole new redesign from the phone debuted. On today’s 25th season premiere of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”, Motorola will debut the Motorola DEFY exclusively for T-Mobile customers. The Defy is an Android smartphone with 3.7 inch rugged and scratch resistant touch screen, we assume will be running Android 2.1 (Eclair) with custom MOTOBLUR user interface, although not full Adobe Flash like that of Android 2.2 (Froyo) it has Adobe Flash Lite in the web browser, 5 megapixel camera with flash, digital zoom and auto-focus. Hooray! AT&T launched its first Android phone, the Motorola Backflip with MOTOBLUR social sharing software. The Backflip literally does what it says, meaning the keyboard opens from the back lighting up the keyboards orienting the display in horizontal mode. There's an added bonus with a trackpad like laptops on the back of the display half of the phone that you can use to control it from the rear called Backtrack. You'll find AT&T Navigator powered by TeleNav for GPS navigation preoloaded. Bummer that it launches with Android OS version 1.5 (upgradable to 2.1), however does have cool features like HSPA 7.2 capable (able to reach higher 3G speeds if available), 5 megapixel camera with flash, and Motoblur makes updating social network statuses or even finding your phone a breeze!Read Full Article
