Today was a day for relaxation. Granted, here I am doing work as usual. I checked around for Android news and came across this article: "One third of Android owners secretly want to join the cult of iPhone". Okay, I know this is asking for a mouthful, but really? Apparently the UK site "MyPhoneDeals" did a mobile phone poll comparison and Android owners were "four times more likely to desire an iPhone than the other way round". I'm particularly interested in how this data was collected and exactly what types of consumer this poll targeted. Was it only UK users or is this globally based? It seems slightly biased here and I'm not sure I would even consider this type of data to be accurate. I did a little more digging and it turns out that the study only involved 524 people (Source: Macgasm). Was I worried? Absolutely not, I love my Android! After some further thought it makes sense. In the UK, the iPhone is not as nearly as an exclusive product as it is in the U.S. Several carriers sell the iPhone in that market versus AT&T in the U.S. Even so, that's not what alarms me.Read Full Article

Apple is very controlling, which in many people's opinion can be the iceberg-like demise of the computing giant. Mike Chambers, Adobe's principal product manager for the Flash platform, recently fired off a rant about Apple's latest move to change iPhone SDK terms to block apps created for the App Store created outside their SDK. Google’s Android is constantly compared against Apple’s iPhone in the next level smartphone wars. Today in Apple’s press event they revealed multi-tasking for the next version of iPhone software and mobile ads stemming from the purchase of Quattro Wireless. Multi-tasking and customization as been the biggest crutches to the iPhone; now with this addition it is taking a power punch at Android.
