Google, alongside some hefty earnings has reported that the Android Market currently features more than 38 thousand applications (whereas Androlib reports 47 thousand). Just last September that number was reportedly hovering around 10 thousand. Now for all of my analytical friends out there, these numbers mean that the Android Market has grown an astonishing 280% in just under a year... Amazing! Android has now expanded its long armed reach and influence outside of the U.S. market to 46 countries, up from just 25 a few short weeks ago. The Android market has also introduced support for paid apps in its Canada and Australia markets as well on top of the rapid growth of free apps already available in the marketplace.
