The T-Mobile G1 was the first commercial Android phone available, launched October 23rd 2008. Initially sold to T-Mobile U.S. and U.K. customers, and has since opened to a worldwide marketplace. The T-Mobile G1 features a Touch Screen, full QWERTY keyboard, 3G/Wifi/Bluetooth, and Google mobile applications such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Search with Voice Search, YouTube, etc. Third-party mobile applications can be downloaded both free and paid to enhance the phones appeal via the Android Market. Coupled with T-Mobile’s unlimited 3G data plan, this phone became the next level in cell phone PDAs.

    G1 is an excellent handset, but even more important is the Android OS, which IMHO promises to drive ubiquity in ways that Apple and iphone never will. This means developers will develop GOOD applications for it, and the Android store will be filled with them. I wish I could get Pocket Express, for example on my G1.

    I would recommend this phone to any one that can affored it. I like this phone because of the touchscreen, WIFI connection, and it slides to TXT.
