Swype, one of my personal favorite apps, has released its latest update for Beta testers which includes Double Tap to Edit and Voice to Text. If you’re one of the lucky few that are in the Beta program, aside from phones like Galaxy S family of phones equipped with the ultra fast virtual keyboard at debut, you’ll like to feature improvements.
In an effort to improve accuracy, if Swype chooses the wrong word, you can double tap the word invoking the correct word predictions to choose. One grip we had for Android 2.1+ phones was the lack of native Voice to Text button if you opted to speak your text versus always swiping. Now that button is added toward the right of the space button, typically that buttons is found on the left.
