StatusNotes enables you to add unlimited custom notes to your notification bar, directly from your notification bar.
Price: Free, $0.99
StatusNotes Android App is a nifty lil app for saving notes in the Android notification window shade with nice icons. This allows you to add notes to the status bar while in any app, simply slide the Android window shade down, tapp “New StatusNote” and add your note. The status notes are persistent too, so when you tapp “clear notifications” button, they stay. To delete them, simply tapp on one and tapp “Remove”. You can change the icon that represents your status note as well.
StatusNotes Android App is a useful app, great for multi-tasking and quickly jotting notes without returning to the Home screen to launch apps. Plus it’s in the most noticeable location on the screen (top status notification bar).
StatusNote Android App is straightforward and simple to use.
Frequency of use is dependent on the user.
The user interface integrates with the window shade or popup and the icons by Icon Eden are great! Small Gripe Alert: more generic icons relevant to typical situations would be nice to have.

Should you Download StatusNotes? Writing in status bar note… Yes!

Comments and suggestions for the app itself are also welcome here. More icons on the way!
This is a great app. Its very useful.
Though, is there a way to get rid of the words (Title, Notification text) without having to delete the words everytime? Keep up the good work.
Kevin, please update to the current version. This issue has been fixed. Thanks!
This app looks great, however I can’t find it in Android Market on my HTC Magic? (Purchased and used in Sweden, paid apps are not available in Android Market here yet, but free apps are and I can’t even find the free version StatusNote). Is this app restricted to a few countries or something like that?
@Hellberg we’ll ask the developer about this as Google offers developers the option to target certain countries or all countries if available.
@Hellberg – StatusNote is available in “All Current and Future Locations”, according to my preferences. If you are not seeing StatusNote in the Market, please contact Google directly. Unfortunately, these type of issues, as common as they are, are out of my control.
If you are unable to resolve this issue, please contact me directly at info [at] ipaulpro [dot] com and we will work something out.
*May seem like a random question, but are you currently able to see ShopSavvy in your Market, Hellberg?*
Thanks for the answer! So it shouldn’t be a geographical restriction then, good to know. I can see ShopSavvy in the market, although there are a couple of other free apps I’ve seen on cyrket for example, that can’t be found in my HTC Magic phone, like “A Online Radio”, “eBuddy”, “Digital Clock Widget” (the one by Maize) and some others.. I’ve tried both searching for them and using the barcode on cyrket in barcode scanner, but market can’t find anything on the link from the barcode.
I’ll try to contact Google and see if they have an explanation for this. I don’t know exactly how to contact them though, if there’s an email-address for android market issues or something but I’ll have a look around. If you know a good way to contact them, feel free to tell me.
@Hellberg – Apparently Google says, “At this time, we don’t offer email support for Android Market issues, but we do frequently monitor the Help Forum.” This is on the user’s side. I will send an email regarding this issue on the Developer’s side, but I wouldn’t “hold your breath”: I have sent numerous emails to Google about Market problems and have yet to receive a reply. If you are interested in posting in the “Help Forum”, here’s the link:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market?hl=en
I will report here with any findings or updates.
Hellberg, please email me directly to continue this correspondence.
Very cool. Can you create a setting for the default icon?
@ipaul:: i love your StatusNote app! Still waiting to find StatusNotes on Market though…
great! would be even better if you could ‘export’ the notes to other apps (google tasks or astrid i.e.) for further editing/use if needed.
