In an over the air update, both Samsung Epic 4G and Samsung Galaxy Tab will receive Android 2.2 (Froyo) update with Sprint ID loaded. This update would alleviate the frustration for those who didn’t get a smooth update before they suspended it. Galaxy Tab owners will now be able to enjoy Flash in the web browser, Bluetooth voice dialing, and the ability to install apps to SD card.
Sprint ID is a solution which bundles packs of Android apps by lifestyle plus up to five themes; so for example in the morning a person could have the Business theme with suitable apps, set your personal theme when you come home, or sports theme for keeping up with the games. There are more than a dozen ID packs available, many from popular brands including Yahoo!, MTV Music ID and ESPN ID plus more.
Check out our initial first impressions video and review of Sprint ID Business Android app pack to see what we’re referring to. Let us know if you’ll be accepting the update granted you’re an Epic 4G or Galaxy Tab owner in the comments below!
