AndroidTapp.com Review:
Features:
SpoofApp has 3 main features: Place a Call, Call Recording, and My Account.
- Place a Call allows you to make a spoof call. You type in the “Number You Want To Call” (either slide the G1 keyboard to landscape) or tapp the contacts icons to the right to scroll through your contacts. Do the same for the “Caller ID Number To Display”. (You can preset a contact name and number like we did in the screenshot below)Optionally, you can use the voice changer; Male, Normal or Female voice. Don’t expect the voice changers to sound like a specific guy or gal. They basically change the pitch of your voice in real-time, so deep heavy base for male voice (like in ransom movies) and high “Alvan and the Chipmunks” high pitch for female voice.
- Call Recording option records your spoof call to the SpoofApp.com website so you can listen to them later. (In our Interview with SpoofApp creator Alan Beebe, we learned he’s working on making the recordings sharable)
- My Account is a quick view of your SpoofCard PIN Number, your phone number, more important a view of how many minutes you have remaining, and how to instantly replenish via the device. Look here also if you’ve lost your Pin or need Support.

Usefulness:
SpoofApp is more cool app than useful.
Ease of Use:
If you poke at SpoofApp, you get how to use it. Because there are a few extra steps in the workflow that you wouldn’t think would be there by default. So we’ve listed how to make a spoof or prank call with SpoofApp:
- First time use, load your SpoofCard PIN and enter your phone number
- Tapp contacts icon or enter the “Number You Want To Call”
- Tapp contacts icon or enter the “Caller ID Number To Display”
- Optional, choose Voice Changer
- Choose to record the call or not
- Tapp Place Call
- SpoofApp contacts the website to verify your remaining minutes then calls you
- Tapp or press “1″ to verify you want to continue with the call
- Once confirmed, SpoofApp calls the person you want to spoof
Frequently Used:
Frequency of use is based on how many SpoofCard minutes you have left.
Interface:
The user interface is optimal for thumb/finger navigation.

In the terms of service….
“A maintenance fee of $0.89 will be deducted from your pin every fifteen (15) days, taken from your available balance. This fee is to maintain the account including any recordings that you may save. If you have less than $0.89 remaining balance, you will only be deducted whatever you have left on your PIN. If your card is depleted and no longer has a balance, we do not bill you in any way, nor do we charge your credit card. ”
….What a rip….You buy a 10 dollar card and 1.78 is taken out every month…What if you buy a card and don’t use it? Well, you basically get charged for not using the service. There are better providers…use google
Can’t get to download
This is a RIP OFF?? Paid $20.00 and used it 5 times then when I went to use it again, my account said $0.00. They charge .89 cents every 15 days for maintenance whether or not you use it!!! This is a SCAM!!!!
WHat a total rip-off this app is. Okay you install it and get the free minutes introduction, updated app and all formatting of numbers correct. But it still wont work trying to force you to purchase.
You contact customer service and get no reply.
Crappy videos on their website as you dont actually see it working on teh videos they are jsut using outdated music promo videos to show the app.
Overall until Is ee this working I am not convinced and think it is a scam of some sort. Five friends all have this and none of them work.
Bottom line is that SpoofApp doesnt do what it says and will try and squeeze cash from you without giving the trial.
They will also bug you with ads popping up without no way to get off clicking on teh ads like their Facebook account popping up on your phone and no way to know view it.
I’m not paying to make a phone call on my own phone! That’s just rediculous!
Also difficult to actually set up for the first time.
