Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Brilliant graphics!
- Absorbing and musical sound!
- Challenging levels!
- Highly addictive!
Features:
If you were to mix Angry Birds, Treemaker and World of Goo you would come out with something very much akin to Spoing. In Spoing’s world you get about by jumping from one trampoline to another, so you’ll need to master the angles that make sure you always land safely. You then pull down on the trampoline bottom to fling Spoing to another- much like using a slingshot to fire your Angry Birds… it’s this physics-based gameplay that has become incredibly popular in the Google Play Store and it’s delivered perfectly with Spoing.
Levels are fun, but genuinely challenging. You must collect coloured diamonds as you move around the level and time limits to beat too. While flinging Spoing is easy, doing so with accuracy can be tricky. This gameplay is complimented by rich graphics and immersive sound, which make for an addictive and engrossing experience that you don’t find very often in the Google Play Store.

There is a fair amount of dialogue at the beginning of the game which explains how the rainbow diamonds came to be lost and why Spoing must go in search of them. Once this is over its on with the action. Levels begin relatively easily but as you progress additional features either help or hinder your journey. For example, green diamonds allow you to create your own trampolines which in turn let you explore other areas and jump higher. The caves which you explore are often treacherous and include all manner of creatures which, if you hit them, cause you to die. There are trampolines that act as checkpoints so not all is lost when this happens.
The more of the game you complete the more the story unravels, small narratives are shown which permit Spoing to have conversations with all kinds of other characters, which makes the game even more entertaining and immersive. Above all else, Spoing is pure unadulterated fun which is great to play and hard to put down.

Fun Factor:
As mentioned, Spoing is lots of fun and I struggle to find anything wrong with the game or any improvements to suggest. The gameplay, music and graphics combine to make a rewarding and challenging experience which is ideal for people who like puzzle adventures.
Addictive:
Spoing is massively addictive and hard to put down throughout. Gameplay might not suit everyone, but it’s a title that is both perfectly casual and a great time-killer if you want to dedicate more energy to it. Levels always seems to be different enough from the previous ones to ensure it doesn’t get too repetitive.
Graphics:
The graphics employ silhouette characters against colourful backdrops, similar to the effect you get with games like World of Goo and Treemaker. This works fantastically well and, although it’s only 2D, looks really good.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Music in the game is excellent. You can choose which soundtrack you have before each level and there are four to choose from. This works really well as it never becomes to repetitive. You have the chance to remove music and sound altogether but it’s arguably one of those games that would work really well with headphones to make the experience all the more engrossing.
