• Amazing graphics and accelerometer control

Cons

• Feels more like a solo timed race than actual head-to-head competition with other racers
• Not a con yet feature lack… you could say I’m spoiled but would like to see a multi-online player feature

Features:

Speed Forge Android Game is an awesome 3D racing game. This game really showcases the graphics chipset and accelerometer capabilities for Android phones (displays awesome on generation one Android phones and even more superbly on DROIDs and Nexus One phones). Brought to you by the graphics team responsible for Colorix Android game.

The goal is to beat your opponents to the finish line with the fastest time possible. Using the phone’s accelerometer to control the craft while picking up missiles and mines along the way. They can be used on competitors, but watch out other racers can use them on you too!

Fun Factor & Addictive:

The game has an excellent initial WOW value but loses you in the long term as it gets repetitive racing what feels more like a solo timed race than actual head-to-head competition with other racers. If more competitive racing elements or online competition were added it would take this game to the next level.

Graphics:

As mentioned the 3D graphics are simply amazing!

Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:

Speed Forge 3D Android game makes excellent use of the phone’s accelerometer to control the craft, has background music and sound effects for crashes and explosions, plus brilliant tactile response by vibrating the phone when you hit a wall, hit another racer, hit a mine or a competitor blasts you with a missile!
