Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Get weather, breaking news, Groupon deals, social networks, and apps all from the Android home screen, no need to open separate apps!
- Unique custom Android home screen app with slick UI
- Configure features you want to show and how frequent they update
Cons
- Default update intervals can be a battery drain but you MUST head to the settings to change them
- Internal memory hog
- Cannot change the background picture
- Cannot rearrange the widget order
Features:
*Spark is a home screen replacement app for Android with a slick user interface that displays weather, shortcuts to your favorite Android apps, breaking news, Groupon deals, post to Facebook & Twitter plus see your latest social network streams, make calls, open apps drawer, jump to the web browser and search… all from the home screen.
And the gripes start… Similar to SlideScreen, however these apps fail to give you the control of your home screen background and the ability to reorder widgets… counter perk of Android. If you don’t change the default content update intervals the app can drain you battery, you MUST head to the settings to change them as it is set to update every minute (only 1 hour max, else you can set to “Never”).

Usefulness:
The convenience of common sought information and communication are brought to you right on the home screen versus you seeking it, plus it brings in function of several apps.
Ease of Use:
We suggest upon first launch you hit the Menu button and configure the settings of the app, then get acquainted with each widget toggling which you need or don’t, and add your frequent Android Apps. Otherwise it is intuitive as everything is on one screen.
Android Advice™: How do I make this app my default home screen app?
Whenever you install a new home app Android presets all home screen apps every time you press the Home button. Click the checkbox “Use by default for this action” then select your desired home screen app.
Android Advice™: No popup prompting default choice shows, how do I make this my default home screen app?
If you want to change your default home app (or any default app), go to Settings Menu » Applications » Manage applications » find the default app and select it » click “Clear defaults” button. The next time you press the Home button you will be prompted which app to use… follow the steps above.
Frequently Used:
If used, you’ll be cranking the app up every time you access your Android phone.
Interface:
Although the user interface, organization and customization are key points with this app, I would hope future releases allow you to change the background picture and reorder the widgets to your liking.
