Space Ball is a cool and simple-to-play basketball game for Android devices. You control a purple alien dude as he shoots moving hoops. With each successful hoop you score points, but there is a variety of other bonuses and power ups to watch out for. The game is fun, addictive and comes with different game-play modes to keep it fresh.

Features:
Space Ball is a funky basketball game with a twist. You shoot hoops as a smart (and purple) alien and with each hoop you score points. The main aim is to score as many points as you can. The game is easy to play- just sweep your finger upwards on the screen to shoot. You control the alien using the accelerometer. Now, the only complaint I have with this otherwise superb little game is the unresponsiveness of these accelerometer controls, it just feels clunky and awkward. You often miss the ball when moving around and lose valuable seconds. Personally, I just think it’s something that needs little more than a tweak to resolve but at the moment it is a bit frustrating.
There are three levels of rings to shoot at and there are several types of rings- each with a different bonus or score. Look out for the slam dunk rings as well- they are quite rare but they let you pull off a stunning slam dunk shot for lots of points! Timed correctly, you can also hit three rings at the same time! The game-play is not without its ‘baddies‘ either. Do your best to avoid the obstacles which hold onto the ball ‘Stuck Ball’ which take a few seconds to let go. This loses you time and potential points.
The game is loads of fun and immediately playable. There are three modes of play; Classic- where you have two minutes to build as big a score as you can, Timed where you have just 30 seconds and TNT Mode where you have three balls to score with. TNT can destroy your ball and when the balls run out it’s game over. These modes keep game-play quite fresh so it’s worth trying each one out. There is also an Ultimate Mode blacked out, so I’m sure this will be made available in the near future.

Fun Factor:
If you like smart casual games that rely on accurate timing and skill, this is definitely worth checking out. It’s pretty cool to get three baskets in one or a slam dunk so it’s certainly lots of fun. The only thing that tarnishes this is the accelerometer controls which just feel a bit too sticky to control accurately.
Addictive:
Even with the acceleromter issues I’ve mentioned, the game is irresistibly addictive!
Graphics:
The graphics are well designed, rather vivid but it works well with the game’s theme. The menu UI is also superb; really slick, well developed and cool to use.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The in-game music is really good too, quite catchy and it suits the game well.
