SoundGarage Mobile is the Android client for accessing your SoundCloud account. SoundCloud is a website dedicated to helping artists easily distribute their music and track who’s viewing and downloading it, as well as get feedback on what fans like and don’t like. The free version gives you access to stream all the music, with ads. The pro version is ad-free, and allows you to download and purchase tracks, as well as give you artist recommendations.

Let’s just start by saying there are way more great features in this app than we can possibly cover in one review. So we’ll just hit on a few of the highlights.
Since I’m not a musician, for me the discovery part of SoundCloud is the best part. And SoundGarage makes this even easier. You can browse tracks by artists you know, listen to your own tracks if you have any uploaded, listen to Creative Commons tracks, and view both the latest tracks and the hottest tracks right now. This all makes for a lot of potential music. If you’d rather search by genre, you can do that, with a drop-down list of pretty much at type of music you could possibly want, then further broken down into sub-genres.
Through the app, you can also access groups you’re a part of, as well as your account information. So if you do have tracks uploaded that you’re sharing, this is a quick way to access them. While you’re in a track listening, and you like it, you can add it to your favorites list, or you can choose to share it directly from the phone.

Usefulness:
This is a great way to find and share new indie bands and music.
Ease of Use:
Very easy. I don’t think they could make it any easier.
Frequently Used:
Especially if you stream music, you’ll be using this app a lot.
Interface:
Very easy to use. It’s a mix of graphics and text, but where it really shines is on the track pages, where everything you could want to do is right at hand, without having to look through menu screens or stop the track.
