Solitaire is unsurprisingly a Solitaire card game for Android. Featuring a host of customisations and a responsive interface it’s certainly one of the better incarnations of the popular game in the Android Market. There is real depth the range of options you have at your disposal; from changing card and background types to switching to left handed mode and a variety of language translations.

Content Rating: Everyone (should be higher due to nature of ads)
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Responsive interface!
- Loads of customisations!
- Small file size!
- Easy to play!
Cons
- While Solitaire is a universally recognised game, instructions would be good for beginners.
- Might need to be wary of adverts content depending on your country. Possibility of a few being of a dating/chat theme and unsuitable for children.
Features:
Solitaire is a decent and nicely developed version of the massively popular card game. The stand out feature for me was the range of settings and options you get. To start with there are around 50 backgrounds to choose from, 9 different back-of-card styles and 4 card themes. This makes for a very customisable experience for the user- you can change the look and feel of the game easily. In addition to the design you can also alter many other aspects of the game, such as: display, scoring method, frame-rate, number of cards dealt and lots more.
A small niggle might be that there are currently no instructions in the game so make sure you know how to play first! There is a landscape mode in the settings (change to Horizontal) and, although you have to turn your phone clockwise rather than the more typical anti-clockwise you experience with other games and apps, this is still a great touch.
I find Solitaire a fun game to play and this Android version is still petty neat. It’s very cool to be able to change the look of the game to such an extent adds a personalized aspect. There are quite a few genuinely terrible Solitaire games in the Market but this one is stable, functional and is lots of fun. I can’t say it’s the best Solitaire available as it’s an area where there is a lot of competition, but it’s certainly one of the better ones. The small file size and responsive interface definitely make it something worth checking out.

Fun Factor:
As merely a version of a popular game that has been around for hundred of years, so you’ll need to enjoy the original if you’re going to find this incarnation fun. However, with the extra customisations and the ability to personalise your experience in such a variety of ways it makes for a far more enjoyable experience.
Addictive:
There have been periods of many in an adults’ life where Solitaire has been a big addiction, and this game has more than enough to replicate that. The app stores statistics of your previous games, including how many moves it took you, so there’s definitely a challenging element to trying to beat previous scores.
Graphics:
The graphics, to be honest are pretty so-so. Far better than some games available on the Android Market but certainly nothing to blow your socks off. There are some neat touches and animations but you do not need to look far to find better visuals.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
There is very little sound in the game, merely minor clicks when you enter the menu and make changes. Very minimal, but then perhaps you don’t want much distraction when you are taking on a game of Solitaire.
