Sniper Shooter – Zombie Vision sets brain-hungry zombies in your sniper cross-hairs of this first person shooter. Do you have a steady hand and aim to protect the survivors? Read more in this review!
Tested on: Samsung Galaxy S4
Pros & Cons:
- Protect civilians and sniper blast zombies from a distance!
- Good 3D graphics!
- Forces close.
- Controls periodically become unresponsive.
- Using in-game incentives are the only real way to progress.
- Many full screen popups in start screen area.
- Needs polish.
Sniper Shooter – Zombie Vision places you as the protector of survivors hidden down below (represented by floating green shields). Hoards of zombies run a distance to enter your area to get to them. If they do you lose them. It’s your job to fend them off as long as you can with your sniper rifle. Count your shots because ammo is limited. If you shoot well, you’re rewarded with health and ammo drops. Shoot health icons to revive fallen survivors and run over to pick up ammo. Shooting well also offers bonus points for head shots, consecutive kills and long distance shots. I have a few gripes with the game and one of the worst is with the long distance. Take a look at this screenshot on level one, as zombies turn the left corner of the far blue container, when you setup and shoot them from a distance to score some bonus points the game crashes every single time… frustrating!
By default the control sensitivity are poor, this is because for some reason the developer decided to lower it. Hop into the options screen immediately and increase this to just over half way and it improves significantly. Controlling movement is done in the top left (it can be swapped to the top right, though I would prefer them to be towards the bottom as to not obstruct gameplay.) Under there is the fire button (and in the position of accidental fires.) In the center is the jump button for hopping onto crates. In the bottom right is the scope button. Added to difficulty of the game you must tap this every time to aim after a shot and reload. While aiming a magnifying glass appears which can be zoomed up to 3x. In the top right corner shows your ammo account (grey color means ammunition exhaust).
Advancing to new levels or buying better guns cost points earned from nailing the undead. The issue here is the high cost of levels and items. So the only way to earn them is to play the same level repeatedly (which gets stale) or get free points via the TapJoy incentives integrated within the app.

The game can be good zombie shooter fun, granted it doesn’t crash on you.
Sniper Shooter features some nice graphics, and by default the developer has actually lowered the 3D quality (so it won’t crash). There are full environments to view apocalyptic mayhem though your character is confined to a rooftop.
