Snaptastic is a rich and beautiful photo editing tool. It’s rich based on the fact it has a massive collection of editing tools available and beautiful because the UI looks amazing. If you’ve found yourself previously disappointed by other photo tweaking apps, this might just be something that interests you.
I’ve often found photo editing apps, even ones that perform well and look great, sometimes lack small things that would make them so much better. It might be the lack of a cropping tool, or the ability to manually adjust brightness and contrast levels. Sure there’s presets but if you have an eye for exactly the look you want, these are too reductive. It’s great therefore when an app steps forward that does all the things you want it to, especially then if that app looks amazing and is easy to use.
Snaptastic is such an app and it’s an absolute gem. The first highlight is the user interface. As soon as you open the app your eyes are bathed in this lush environment of rounded edges and complimentary colours. It’s very responsive too and tapping the ‘New From Gallery’ or ‘New From Camera’ tab opens either function quickly.
Secondly, and once you’ve selected a picture, you can get to the rich editing phase. Initially you have the choice of optional presets. This isn’t a massive list but there are plenty to try out. In the menu below (or at the side if editing in landscape mode) you can select to Modify (editing tools such as crop and rotate), Adjustments (intricately tweak brightness, contrast, exposure, fill light, vignetting, clarity, black level and white levels) and Colour Adjustments (Style, Temperature, Tint and Saturation). What this provides is a powerful and detailed level of customisation that you rarely see in apps such as this.
When you combine these factors together (UI and customisation options) you get an app that’s easy on the eye, simple to use yet incredibly functional and feature-rich. The only problem I had with the app is that I felt the customisations occasionally seemed to battle with the picture itself for screen space. It wasn’t a big deal but with some apps these options are more translucent which lets you see more of the picture.

Snaptastic is incredibly useful for tweaking photographs you have taken; from adding pre-set filters to manually adjusting a variety of levels. Because of the tiny increments you can make on every setting, in addition to the pre-set filters and other editing tools, it means your pictures will look original and beautiful.
Ease of Use:
The app is also very easy to use with a bold and user-friendly user interface which makes adjusting pictures a breeze. You can also save them to your SD card or share them however you like from the app.
This is swiftly becoming my go-to app for photo editing. It offers lots of options, is easy to use and looks great. I personally use this on an almost daily basis if I’ve taken a lot of pictures.
The interface is rich and bubbly, very slick and responsive and genuinely feels like a premium app experience.
