Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot is first mobile hotspot that can connect to 3G, 4G WiMAX & 4G LTE for Sprint

Sprint today at CTIA announced a 4G mobile hotspot that can connect to both their WiMAX and upcoming 4G LTE networks called, Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot. Starting May 18th the device will be available for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate plus two year contract. The mobile hotspot can connect up to 8 Wi-Fi enabled devices and features a microSD slot to allow teams to share files and presentations with network storage or digital media server for the mini network. The battery is stated to last up to eight hours on a single charge and eight weeks while on standby. Data plans:
- Start at $34.99 for 3GB of combined 3G/4G data
- $49.99 plan with 6GB of combined 3G/4G data
- or $79.99 for 12GB of 3G/4G data
