AndroidTapp.com Android App Review:
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Get mobile Internet interests delivered to you versus you going to get it
- Consolidation of information, apps, recommendations, trivia, news, etc.
Cons
- Space Hog!
- Not the most relevant
- Background Processing constantly and attributes to battery drain/sluggish phone
- We know it’s Beta but needs work
Features:
Sidebar Android App is a consolidation of information, apps, recommendations, trivia, news, deals, etc. Receive mobile Internet interests delivered to you versus you going to get it. Once the app finds a good recommendation, you can Like/Dislike it or Share it with friends via SMS Text. The more you use the app, the more relevant recommendations should be.

Sidebar Storing Too Much Data on Internal Memory
Gripe Alert: A developers great excuse for poor app development is “Beta”. I love Sidebar’s idea, but some things are poorly executed. For example, it saves all data (and a large amount of it) to internal memory… a huge No No! Worse, you can’t clear the cache unless you uninstall the app… meaning you’ll lose the profile the app was tailoring for you. Save it to SD card and allow easy options to clear it!
The app is also a bit sneaky in delivering information too; when you hang up a phone call or finish a text, you’ll notice the full screen recommendation or [cough]… ad! This does not even allow the phone to sleep which can drain your battery! Lastly, the recommendations are not the most relevant either.

The app can be useful if the approach for bringing consolidate web interested were cleaned up. It would be very convenient to have web life brought to you versus always seeking it.
Ease of Use:
It can be rather convoluted initially figuring out the app. Visit the Help section to instruct you on how to get the most out of the app.
Frequently Used:
User dependent, however it runs in the background and will definitely remind you it’s there with periodic recommendations.
Interface:
Despite it’s quirks the user interface is hot!
