Seesmic Twitter Android App ranks high in our list of Best Twitter Apps for Android! You can Tweet (with Geolocation, add or take photos and videos, add links with URL Shorteners), view the Timeline, @Replies, Direct Messages, view and search User Profiles, Follow/Unfollow, see Trends, Search and so far they have the only Twitter app for Android to add Twitters new Lists feature. I didn’t realize the power of Lists until shown how to properly use them. For example, they can be great for live blogging when covering a press event to jot down short blurbs of the information yearning fans can consume.
UPDATE: When this review was originally written, Seesmic was mostly for Twitter. Now, it allows access to several different social networks, including the big one – Facebook. So for this update, I mostly focused on checking out the new features. I liked that it allows you to update your networks in one place, and you can view and manage your News Feed and personal Wall. However, I didn’t thing, as a Facebook client, that it had as much functionality as the official Android client. If you want to be able to update several networks at once, this is a good option, but for a dedicated Facebook client, it’s a bit lacking in features, like the ability to view your photo albums, for example.

As a Twitter client, I still thing this is one of the better options out there. However, as a Facebook client, it does the job, but without some of the features of the official client. So if you’re looking to update several networks in one place at one time, this is a great option. But for regular Facebook browsing, it might not be as useful.
The app is very easy to use – adding accounts takes the touch of just a few buttons and adding your credentials, and managing accounts is very easy. The interface is clean, although I did find the bug where tapping the red bar didn’t bring me back to my timeline, making it a bit more unwieldy to return there.
If you update several social networks a few times a day, this is going to make your life easier by allowing you to do it all in one place at one time.

Should you Download Seesmic? If you use multiple social networks, then yes, this is a very solid way to manage and update them at the same time in one place, making life much easier. However, if you only use one, or don’t update frequently, then you might be better off with the dedicated clients for the networks. It is definitely worth checking out to see if it will work for you.

Updating... Swift App for Twitter
Swift App for Twitter is the fastest, leanest, meanest Twitter app. More features per KB than Twidroid or TwitterRide. @swiftapp Features: ...
Easily my favorite Android Twitter app. There are still a few issues here and there (like when you try and access your own profile, for instance) but on the whole its a pleasant experience.
I tried just about every other client out there in an attempt to find something better for my needs than Seesmic. No dice. It’s the best out there for single account users. My only complaint is UI based, in that the tabs could be a tiny bit smaller. Otherwise this is a nice Twitter client.
I like the Seesmic app. Can’t wait to get full Ping-FM integration on Android, after Seesmic bought them. That means posting to anywhere with this fine app.
