Scripts Expert is a cool app for writing, editing and viewing scripts on the go. Perhaps an ideal tool for writers, screen writers, playwrights and anyone involved in stage production and theatre. The app lets you create new scripts, add new characters and scenes easily and even lets you import new scripts as well as export the ones you have created. Obviously the app is relatively niche, and won’t be of interest to some people, but it’s a great app and a good example of how your Android could compliment different areas of your life.

- Smooth UI!
- Import and export scripts!
- Useful ‘Help’ feature.
Cons
- Perhaps still needs a bit of polishing in terms of ease of use.
Features:
Scripts Expert is a script writing/editing tool for Android. If you’re anyway involved with television, theatre, stage production or screen writing in any form, this is probably the app for you. It essentially lets you easily view scripts on the move, in addition to editing content, adding characters and new scenes.
What I like most about the app was the UI, it feels really good to use. The Android Market blurb assures users that there will be more features to come- which is exciting as it will sit nicely in the smart and professional looking interface.
The app also lets you import scripts, as long as its in a .txt file. So even if the script is already written, it can be simply and easily transferred to your device for easy viewing. You can also export scripts. This is a little trickier as you seem to have to have a file prepared for it on your device already and there’s no means to share via email, or send the file to services such as Dropbox. Such additions would make the service a bit more intuitive.
There is a very good Help section which is good to see. It helps you get started and is a good point of reference if you get stuck. The app is quite easy to use but could go further and make writing scripts more straight-forward, such as easier character and line entry and automatic formatting for scenes. You can make the app do this, but it’s not particularly simple to do so.

Usefulness:
For people that edit, write, learn or in any way use scripts for various purposes, this is perhaps certainly an app that could help you. It’s a great idea although it might need to go some way in terms of adding features if it were to replace typical paper scripts. Great though if you are learning lines or working on a script yourself.
Ease of Use:
Creating new scripts, scenes and characters is very easy. However compiling them and inserting lines is a little counter-intuitive, but will only improve with updates.
Frequently Used:
This depends very much on the user and how much time they might dedicate to script writing. I guess if you are learning some lines for a production of some kind this might be something you use on a regular basis. If your dramatics are more amateur then possibly less frequently.
Interface:
The UI looks really good and professional. Transitions between screens are very stable and smooth and feels good.
