Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Challenging and addictive!
- Great physics-based game play!
- Nice graphics and brilliant sound!
- Loads of levels!
Cons
- The game doesn’t quite offer the same level of strategy you get with Angry Birds. There’s only the one fish, rather than several kinds of birds, so the less intrigued might find the game repetitive after a while.
Features:
Saving Yello is a neat little puzzler that works in a similar fashion to popular games like Angry Birds. The aim is to get Yello back to the safety of his bowl by pinging him. To do this you simply pull back on him, much like pulling back on the Angry Birds slingshot. Extra points are awarded, and awesome power-ups can be found by knocking down as many toys as possible (to get back at Yello’s owner for dumping him there!) You typically have just 6 ‘tails’ (pings) to get Yello back- so it’s important to make them count!
The graphics are really impressive and look remarkably slick and well designed. Cartoony, but rich with detail and cool animations, it’s right up there with the very best physics puzzlers in the Google Play Store. The sound compliments the game perfectly. There are plenty of effects- like Yello flying through the air and hitting things, as well as a great musical score.
The game actually has two versions. This, the Papaya version and the normal version of the game. Saving Yello offers 10 levels of gameplay for free then you can either use Papaya credits to unlock the remainder or simply buy the full version if you’re using the standard version of the game. Therefore, if you’ve accrued a few Papayas using their service, this is probably the best option for you.
Like so many other similar games, Saving Yello is very addictive. Playing the game is incredibly simple and the wanton destruction is lots of fun too! If you’ve enjoyed games like this before, such as those from the Angry Bird series, Saving Yello will be right up your street. It’s fun, colourful, addictive and features brilliant graphics and sound.

Fun Factor:
Saving Yello is lots of fun. The whole atmosphere of the game is buoyant and cheerful. It’s familiar, but offers a different twist to other physics-based games. While these games are not for everyone, Saving Yello offers fans of the genre a refreshing dose of amusement.
Addictive:
Yes, highly! It includes numerous power-ups (such as dynamite which helps destroy more items) so gameplay is kept quite fresh and won’t become too repetitive for fans of the genre. There are more than 50 levels of destructive-yet-quite-cute mayhem contained in the full version so definitely something that has longevity.
Graphics:
The graphics are pretty immaculate and matches most of the games of the physics-based genre. The animation is colourful, eye-stinging bright and vibrant.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The sound, as described before, is top notch. The music is really nice and fits the gameplay well- it never really becomes annoying and is quite gentle. There are plenty of sound effects contained in the game too. These compliment the music really well and reflect the action of the game.
