Notice something different about Verizon’s latest Android smartphone by Samsung to debut Nov. 11th? It has dual front screens! Yes, the Samsung Continuum features two separate but integrated displays: a 3.4-inch touch screen Super AMOLED main display and a customizable 1.8-inch Super AMOLED dedicated ticker display that streams customized information in real time. The mini screen is capable of displaying up-to-the-minute news, sports, finance and social networking updates for maximized multitasking. Pre-orders start November 11 and in stores November 18 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement and data package.
The Continuum is powered by 1GHz Hummingbird Application Processor, running Android 2.1 (Eclair), with 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD camcorder, 3G Mobile HotSpot capabilities, and 8 GB microSD card preinstalled expandable up to 32 GB. Here’s the downner alert 
it’s preloaded with Bing Maps and Bing Search, and if it’s anything like the Samsung Fascinate on Verizon then it’s considered handicapped out the door as Google Maps or Google Search are not available for download as native apps for the device until it gets upgraded to Android 2.2 (Froyo).
