Features:
Psst… we’re giving a Roku HD box away. Enter to win!
If you’ve misplaced your Roku remote, don’t fret, use your phone to browse the streaming media player with this app. You can even say commands like “Netflix”, “Crackle” or “Pandora” to easily jump to those channels using the ‘Launch Channel by Voice’ feature or use your phone’s keyboard too. You can browse the Roku Store to add free and paid channels. A cool feature includes the ability to stream a photo slide show with music or just your music tracks & playlists on your phone to your TV… great for a presentation, gathering or party!
Best of all is that it is easy to setup! Simply get on the same Wi-Fi network as your Roku device and follow the steps on your phone as it will have you visit a webpage and enter a random code to pair the device. A computer is optional for setup as you can use the browser on your phone to complete the process. Note: it’s supported on Roku 2, Roku LT, new Roku HD and Roku Streaming Stick only.
In all, the Roku app is a cool companion app with or without your remote. Or be a prankster and play tricks on your wife by magically changing her channel.

Usefulness:
The app is only useful to those with the supported Roku devices. What initially seems like a novelty fun app can be as convenient and vital as the physical remote. It can come in handy when you’re feeling like a couch potato too.
Ease of Use:
Aside from the cool features offered, it shines in the fact that is it very simple to setup and pair!
Frequently Used:
This depends on you, valid use cases could be occasionally when the physical remote cannot be located or you can opt to use it all the time, as chances are you’ll have your phone next to you anyway.
Interface:
The interface is in parallel with the Roku brand- purple on charcoal. However, it has considerate large buttons as needed for a remote control app and works seamlessly and extremely well.
