Price: Free, Low toll charge for International calls
Pros
Cons
RebTel Android App allows you to make low-cost international calls by connecting local toll numbers with or without dependency on WiFi or data connections. Something different in the race for free long distance calling. Within the app you can see RebTel credits, call history of outgoing and incoming calls, phone numbers used, payment details and notifications. A very convenient feature allows you to look up International call rates before calling. Unlike Google Voice, you have to search Google Voice website and look up countries to see rates.
Gripe Alert: The call experience can be a bit convoluted as the first time you make a call to an International number you are instructed to hang up, repeat the call again then you’re connected.
A service like RebTel’s is very useful and convenient for people who call Internationally often, for companies, and for traveling business professionals.
Once installed the app is already preconfigured, once it detects you making an International call it will intercept the call starting RebTel services.
Intended for use every time you make an International call.
Beautiful user interface!

I’m not seeing the advantage of this over the Google Voice app. I get very inexpensive international calling Google Voice and it has been working great for me.
Am I missing something?
I have both GV and Rebtel. I like most of GV’s features, but international call rates wise, Rebtel is cheaper.
Well it certainly is the best option if you are outside US. Well, since we in the UK do not have Google Voice just yet.
Just gathering intel for me, I am in need of calling international. Guatemala and a cell to be specific. Does this work on ALL droids (for lack of better choice I have ATT) Am fairly certain that it does, but want to verify if anyone has a Droid through ATT, since ATT restricts so much of such a great product.
How about since they have your number … is any one getting spam calls/messages?
Since they give you a local number to call. You can add that number to your A list has any one had any problems if that is the case..?
Any info that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
