Qik Android App is an extension of their awesome service to steam live video from your mobile phone. become your own broadcaster streaming live events or share your kids first steps with family members across the globe real time. You can toggle video capture quality; with the recent announcement of Sprint 4G HTC Evo the next release of Qik will be capable of streaming high definition video live from mobile phones!

May not be the most used but cool idea in an ever changing mobile social world. For a journalist the app can be priceless.
The app is straight forward, make sure you are “Online” and hit the record button and it takes care of the rest by uploading to your channel. Prior to or after shooting your vid you can add Title or toggle public/private sharing settings.
Most likely occasional use at live events or tender moments.

This app came with my Samsung Galaxy Tab but it does not work at all and causes constant rebooting of my new Tablet. Calls to T-Mobile didn’t help, they are not familiar with the app, even though it came pre-installed on the device. The Qik site does not seem to support the Tablet and so far no one has responded to my request for help. I can’t find a version for the Tablet anywhere to re-load. I cannot recommend this app due to total lack of support.
