PureRSS is an RSS and Atom feed reader (most news services and websites publish RSS feeds) that is completely self contained within the phone application.

Pros
Cons
PureRSS Android App is an RSS reader for your feeds on the go. I guess I’ve been spoiled by RSS reader apps like NewsRoom or Feedr where you simply search the website feed you’d like and it fetches the exact URL(s), whereas you need to know and type the full URL with PureRSS. Once feeds are downloaded scroll through a list of titles, tap to read content (weird… offers a snippet above the full article when that should have been back on the list of titles screen), plus link to view the article on the Web.
Gripe Alert: unknown reason but some articles simply doesn’t show in display view.
RSS Readers are great and very useful for keeping up with your favorite news, blogs and websites on the go!
Mentioned earlier the app requires the full URL of the feed you want to consume, other than that it is straight-forward… add as many feeds as you like.
Possibly used multiple times daily.
The user interface is basic, could use some spice however when it does pull in feeds properly it formats for easy reading on the small screen.

NewsRoom – RSS News
NewsRoom is the fastest and easiest way to stay in touch with the web on the go. Find your favorite ...
There isn’t a single good RSS reader for Android, which is disheartening. I live and die online by Google Reader. NewsRoom by far and away is the best RSS app, with a clean and intuitive design, but it doesn’t sync with Google Reader which makes it a complete pain in the ass to switch between phone and laptop. Every other RSS app for Android has serious design limitations and are way harder to use than just going to the mobile site for google reader. Still waiting for an RSS solution.
Try FeedR.
It will even import and export to and from Google Reader.
It’s the only one I found which I liked.
