Poynt, the all-in-one local search app which we reviewed back in December, has recently hit a whopping 10,000,000 downloads on the Android platform alone. This coincides with the release of a brand new version of their app which introduces new features and an updated user interface.
As a local search app, Poynt lets you effortlessly search nearby restaurants, businesses, events, movies and gas prices. Version 2.0 represents an evolution of an app that was already extremely user friendly and introduces new elements that make the app even more handy to have. New features include:
- Added weather information
- Slick new tile design
- New draw-style navigation that lets you jump between features
- Optimized for ICS devices
- Improved data and battery use
On first impressions the new app looks and feels even more responsive and intuitive than its predecessor. We’ll be updating our review very soon, but in the meantime check the new app our for yourself on the Google Play Store. Poynt is available immediate for North America, Europe and Australia so be sure to check it out!
