PewPew. A shooter with perfect gameplay, sweet retro graphics, and very high fps PewPew is a multidirectional shoot them up akin to Geometry Wars. Expect retro graphics, megatons of enemies, and a frame rate rarely achieved by other games. On the other hand, don’t expect a story: this game is for serious gamers.
There are four VERY different game modes:
- MegaGore: Some enemies explode when they die, and the other spin maniacally everywhere. Hide from the explosions or deftly go through them.
- Dodge this: As you collect boxes, there are more and more enemies moving around. Naturally, you have to dodge them all.
- Assault: You fight against waves of enemies. Spoiler: at the end, they win and you die.
- Chromatic Conflict (NSF color blinds): Enemies of different color appear. You can only destroy the ones that are the same color as your ship.
Price: Free
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Very addictive and challenging retro shooter game
- Multi-touch dual joystick controls
- Four difficult game play modes
- Feature playback of games played
Features:
PewPew is a high-intense and fast paced single player shoot ‘em up game with retro mayhem. Taking an ode to early video gaming era, this classic uses simple geometric shapes and lines to represent enemies in four game modes of different difficulty levels; Megagore, Dodge This, Assault, and Chromatic Conflict (see how to play each mode below). As you raise your score goals you gain medals or can change your ship. To jump start you the game has a tutorial to show you how to maneuver and shoot, you can even adjust your dual multi-touch virtual joysticks if the default configuration doesn’t work for you. A cool feature saves a video of your matches to playback. Either save your scores locally or upload to online leader board against players around the world.
How to Play PewPew Game Modes:
- Megagore: The blue enemies can only kill with their heads. The green enemies explodes. You get a new life every 10,000 points.

Fun Factor & Addictive:
PewPew is highly addictive and quite challenging as dodging and blasting 4-bit graphic baddies can become overwhelming!
Graphics:
The unique and simple style of this game makes it appealing and simulates a sense of 3D depth, especially on playback when the play field is shown on an isometric plane.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
PewPew has some cool background music, but no sound effects to accompany linear carnage. :-/
