Install
PDAnet Readme. Beginning April 2011 PdaNet has been delisted from the Android Market by some carriers since this very popular app – with over 3 million installs and 4.5+ ratings – shares your phone’s Internet connection with your computer and does not require a tether fee or rooting your phone. This leaves a lot of our users stuck with an outdated version and no longer receive update notifications from Android Market. Since PdaNet does not really rely on Android Market and can be installed on the computer end, we are hoping this note can reach you and help you through this problem. You can simply download and install PdaNet on the computer side from http://pdanet.co/android.

Pros & Cons:
Pros
- If you’re trying to install PDAnet (possibly due to carrier blocking) and have problems, this will likely help solve them
Cons
- It really is a read-me, rather than an installer
Features:
PdaNet is a popular app for tethering your phone to your computer, but what happens if you’re trying to install it when you actually need to tether for Internet access because you forgot to do it ahead of time? Or you’re having problems installing it and getting it running? The developers have created this Readme app to take care of both problems. It is a very simple app – it has links to all the current downloads for your flavor of operating system, and a link to the FAQ/Help page on their website to walk you through problems.
Usefulness:
This is a nice way to grab PDAnet on the go for tethering, or for doing a quick troubleshoot when you don’t have access to the Internet otherwise.
Ease of Use:
There’s one screen with all the links you need – it doesn’t get any easier than this.
Frequently Used:
Probably once, and then uninstalled. This is to help you get PDAnet installed and working, but after that it really serves no purpose.
Interface:
As I said above, it’s a single page with links to everything you’ll need, so it couldn’t be easier.
