Features:
Password Genie is a smart way to keep your sensitive information on you at all times. With so many requirements in our modern lives for passwords, pin numbers, customer ID, login details and the like, solutions like Password Genie can store all this info in a secure space. If you forget a password, or an expiration date- or even an upcoming birthday- the app can look after all that data for you.
As ‘virtual wallets’ go, Password Genie is both intuitive and highly competent. There are a wide variety of file types you can add too: Bank account, birthday, website bookmark, Car rental details, credit card, frequent flyer, hotel, insurance, note, passport, prescription, saved login and vehicle information. You can even create your very own categories for customised data entries.
I’ve reviewed a few apps similar to Password Genie before and what I took most from testing these apps were just how easy they were to use. There are apps that look a little sleeker, but for uncomplicated and secure important data storage, Password Genie is remarkably self-explanatory and very simple to adopt. You can add information to different files and sync entered data between your Android device and a desktop client available for both Mac and PC.
The app is free to trial for 30 days and then costs $5.99 per year. I know some people find it jarring to face an annual fee but feel free to search the Google Play Store- most apps are far more expensive. A good example is Lemon Wallet- a great looking app, but one which could put you back $120 a year. In comparison, Password Genie is superb value for the money. It’s just as secure and, in my opinion, a little more stable and intuitive- for a fraction of the price.

Usefulness:
For keeping all that often hard-to-remember stuff in a place more reliable than your memory and perhaps just as secure, Password Genie is an extremely handy and convenient little application. Furthermore, the inclusion of a desktop client to sync with is incredibly useful.
Ease of Use:
For me, the app’s ease-of-use was a real strong point. It’s intuitive and user-friendly throughout- even letting you organize data types into files. For example, you could have one for credit cards and bank information, one for online passwords, one for insurance details another for birthdays and so on. Because it also lets you create your own templates, you can use the app however you wish.
Frequently Used:
This perhaps relies on a number of factors. You might only use the app for specific data types. You might have a brilliant memory and only need to access the app on rare occasions. Alternatively you might secure up all your online logins with completely different passwords meaning you need a solution to safely secure these for you, in which case you might use Password Genie more.
Interface:
The interface is clean, neat and simple. It’s perhaps not quite as delicious looking as other apps- most notably the aforementioned Lemon Wallet, but it still looks good. It’s very easy to navigate too so there’s little chance of you getting lost in your data entries.
